Places and events, 1967-1996, undated

Identifier: Series 5

Scope and Contents

This series includes images of places and events. The images have been divided into three subseries: Series 5.1, New Jersey and New York; Series 5.2, United States; and Series 5.3, Outisde the United States. Series 5.1 includes places and events in and around New jersey and New York, including buildings, monuments, festivals, parades, and cityscapes, such as the African Heritage and Saint Patrick's Day Parades in Newark, the Empire State Building and Statue of Liberty in New York, and the cities of Newark, Trenton, and Atlantic City in New Jersey. Series 5.2 includes places in the United State visited by the Alagna family, including Hollywood, California, Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and Washington, D.C. Series 5.3 includes places outside the United States visited by the Alagna family, including London, England, and many locations in Italy.

These images may have been photographed by Ace Alagna or may have been photographed by staff photographers of the Italian Tribune. Earlier images may be more likely to have taken by Ace Alagna; any images featuring Ace Alagna were likely taken by staff photographers. See each subseries description for arrangement.

Images are described at the file level: each file contains a group of images and indicates how many images are in that group. Many images have been scanned; these images have been assigned individual numbers, listed as "Image" with a span of numbers. Images that were not scanned are listed as "Folder" and have one number for the entire file, with an E or SG in the number.
