Biographical / Historical

Social Justice was an American Roman Catholic weekly periodical founded in 1936 by Father Charles Coughlin, a Roman Catholic priest and radio broadcaster well-known for his antisemitic commentary. Under the direction of Francis Biddle, Attorney General of the United States during World War II, the publication's mailing permit was revoked in 1942 under the Espionage Act of 1917 on account of its seditious content.
