Biographical / Historical

Poetry in the Round was a series of speakers and events created by Professor John Harrington, a faculty member in the English department from 1956-1995. Harrington founded Poetry in the Round in 1982, and the series continues into the present day. Poetry in the Round brought many prominent writers to campus, including Philip Roth, Margaret Atwood, Joyce Carol Oates, and many others.
