Scope and Contents

The Papers of John Morley include writings, lectures, research notes, correspondence, and miscellaneous documents and ephemera related to activities and events attended by Father Morley. The collection primarily centers on his work in Judeao-Christian Studies, anti-semitism, and the Vatican's role in the Holocaust. The latter is the basis of his published book, "Vatican Diplomacy and the Jews during the Holocaust, 1939-1943." The writings span from 1975 (when he was a student at NYU) to 2009.

Processing Information

Processing and creation of finding aid was performed by Stephen Bacchetta, the Records Manager and Digital Archivist for the Monsignor William Noé Field Archives & Special Collections Center, in 2022. Processing tasks included the encoding of the finding aid, the numbering of the collectoin, and the re-housing of materials within the collection. Series information was created at the time of processing, as there was no discernable or logical order of the files following the 2012 accession.
