Scope and Contents note Various letters relating to Daly's appointment by Pope John XXIII to the position of Knight Commander of the Order of St. Gregory the Great. Daly received this distinction because of his 'outstanding character and notable accomplishments' as Director of ICEM and humanitarian efforts on behalf of migrants and refugees.

Scope and Contents note Daly appeared on the David Susskind Show on 15 November 1966; it was subsequently rebroadcast a number of times. On the show, Daly debated with Professor Richard Cloward, a member of the School of Social Work at Columbia University, on the issue of welfare in America. Many letters from various supporters and opponents of Daly's position on welfare and his plan to prosecute unwed mothers receiving welfare under fornication and adultery laws.
