This collection consists of a single bound diary which belonged to John Erigena Robinson. It covers the years 1867 and 1873 to 1878, although there are some large gaps between entries. Robinson was a student at Seton Hall College, graduating in the class of 1874. He was the son of congressman William Erigena Robinson, and a native of Brooklyn. Bernard J. McQuaid was the first president of Seton Hall College, from 1856-1867. The collection consists of letters and reproductions of letters sent to Rev. McQuaid and an image of Rev. McQuaid.
