The letter is dated December 22, 1917 and it is unclear to whom it is addressed. The French letter has not yet been translated, therefore the subject matter is presently unknown.

The John M. Oesterreicher papers include manuscripts, correspondence and sermons centering on his work in Judeao-Christian Studies and anti-semitism.
