It is addressed “Dear Friend” and opens with a description of the challenges facing the activists in the Black Liberation movement in Newark. Robert D. Spencer Legal Notebook, 1834-1870

Scope and Contents This collection consists of a single notebook containing handwritten notes dating from 1834 to 1870 by law reporter Robert D. Spencer and others. The name Robert D. Spencer is embossed on the spine of the notebook, and the majority of its content seems to be produced by him. Robert D. Spencer died in 1855, but the entries continue in a different hand until 1870. It is unclear who wrote the later notes. There is an index at the back of the notebook that covers the entries from 1834 to 1850....

Anthony (Tony) Triano (1928-1997) was a famous New Jersey painter, sculptor, and illustrator. He was also an artist-in-residence and later tenured professor at Seton Hall University. The Anthony Triano collection dates from 1971 to 1997 and documents Triano's professional activities during his tenure at Seton Hall University. The collection includes correspondence, teaching and tenure materials, exhibition materials, sketches, clippings, and blueprints of Seton Hall buildings.

John Koenig papers

Abstract

John H. Koenig was born 24 December 1916. He graduated from Seton Hall college in 1938, was ordained into the priesthood on 30 May 1942 at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Newark, N.J., and served as director of the Archdiocesan Ecumenical Commission. Msgr. Koenig died on 15 August 2004. The John Koenig papers contain the professional papers of Rev. John Koenig from his work in the Archdiocese of Newark and as a parish pastor.
