Abstract
Fr. Francis Derivaux was a priest in the Archdiocese of Newark. He attended Seton Hall College, graduating in 1911, and then went on to study at Immaculate Conception Seminary. Fr. Derivaux was ordained in 1915 and assigned to St. Leo’s parish in Irvington, where he worked until his death in 1923. This collection consists of a single bound diary which belonged to John Erigena Robinson. It covers the years 1867 and 1873 to 1878, although there are some large gaps between entries. Robinson was a student at Seton Hall College, graduating in the class of 1874. He was the son of congressman William Erigena Robinson, and a native of Brooklyn.
