Abstract Sheldon Benjamin, MD, is a professor of Psychiatry and Neurology at the University of Massachusetts. During the 1970s he was deeply involved in the Soviet Jewry Movement, an international human rights campaign that advocated for freedom of emigration for Soviet Jews. The collection dates from 1959 to 1984 and contains English-language publications, bulletins, reports, and bound volumes relating to the Soviet Jewry movement and the history of the Jewish community in the former Soviet Union.
